Cast Iron Jug, Tetsubin, Kazahana
Tetsubines are used in the Japanese tea ceremony to heat the water for tea. They are cast iron kettles.
This boiler keeps the temperature of the water relatively constant and only cools it down slowly; thus the water has the right temperature for the following infusions of the tea.
The cast iron kettle combines tea drinking and poetry and is named Kazahana "snow in the wind". The delicately suggested snowflakes drifting in the wind are deeply rooted in Japanese tradition. The simple design suits any type of space and occasion.
With its 1100ml capacity, this kettle is ideal to use to enjoy tea alone or with a partner.
