BIO Gyokuro Nagatani
Shading the tea plants shortly (21 days) before harvest greatly reduces the formation of bitter substances and increases amino acids, which provide a slightly sweet taste in the foreground, so that the tea develops a mild and fruity aroma.
This organic Gyokuro comes from Uji-Tarawa. It grows on a small field in the mountain forest of the Nagatani-family.
Gyokuro is brewed with a larger amount of leaves and a reduced water temperature.
Tasting Notes: Pleasant harmony between sweetness and light bitterness.
