It is a light, mild tea, which has a balanced sweet-bitter taste, to be used as a high-quality daily tea.
Tasting Notes: light, fresh
Mr. Keisaku Fukui, based in Ujitarawa, Kyoto, has been producing kyobancha, on his home-made roasting oven for more than 70 years. He is one of the last Kyobancha-maker who still practices this craft by hand.
Mr. Fukui made a mild-smoky tea.

- Kyobancha 京番茶 Use 5g for 250ml, 100°C (212°F) hot water. Best way: Put the tea leaves in the warm, empty hobin or kyusu, close the lid. After 30 seconds you can smell the beautiful aroma of the tea. Next, slowly pour the water over the tea leaves. After 1 minute the tea is ready and you can pour it into your tea cups. Depending on your taste, you can continiue making 2 infusions.
