A wonderful craft pot with ceramic sieve by Master Kōfū from Tokoname in Japan.
The lid of this kyusus is decorated with unique cherry blossoms carved into the clay.
With its generous capacity of 330ml, this Kyûsu
ideal for family tea drinking or to entertain guests.
Tokoname teapots are made from clay rich in iron oxide, which binds some of the tannins in green tea. This will reduce the bitter taste. The tea then tastes softer and sweeter.
Japanese tea lovers prefer tokoname pots.
