Kyûsu, fog over the black lake
Master Maekawa - 前川
This delicate kyûsu is ideal for enjoying high-quality senchas or gyokuros brewed at a low temperature.
Its flat shape is an indication of low-temperature water and plenty of space for the fine tea leaves to unfold. As a set, it is not only a wonderful gift (packaged in a beautiful Japanese wooden box), but is also perfect for enjoying a Gyokuro at home immediately.
Master ceramist Junzo Maekawa (前川淳蔵), born in Tokoname in 1976, has an excellent sense of precision and perfection. Maybe it's because Junzo Maekawa finished his technical studies in 2000 and only then devoted himself to studying handicrafts in Kyoto.
